How Beauty is Birthed

Sundown 2 Quote

Where Grace Breaks Through

I have been so aware of my brokenness lately.  During those times we can become distracted by the state of our mind, souls, or bodies.  Their brokenness shouting louder than the still small voice we long to hear.  So while in prayer, I turn my eyes toward Jesus and ask God to heal my broken heart and other parts.  I ponder about how the Lord becomes the strength in our weakness.  I realize that my broken places are where grace breaks through and then I’m reminded as a whisper of love brushed across my heart.  God spoke, “Why did I send my Son?”

Merriam Webster defines broken as:

  • separated into parts or pieces by being hit, damaged, etc.
  • not working properly
  • not kept or honored

Hope for Me and You

Our brokenness is fertile ground for the God of grace to bring forth true beauty.  The separation from wholeness indicates the depth of our need.  The true beauty of Christ’s work on the cross bridges our broken pieces together to birth a mosaic which reflects His love.  Thus sharing our hope of the Healer with a broken world that longs to be made whole.

61 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
