Let it Rain
I saw a map a few weeks ago that showed the nations draught conditions. So I began praying for rain.Well it started raining last Wednesday and it didn’t stop until yesterday.
The hard cracked earth is now pliable and today they are calling for sunshine.
Sometimes our hearts can become hard cracked earth and we thirst for the rain of refreshing. We can be in the wilderness wandering and wanting. Mouths dry and heart parched as we follow God toward the promised land. The map of it bright red and begging.
We may wonder if God is really with us. We may wonder if we went the wrong way. We may be tempted with a longing to go back to Egypt and its bondage which only temporarily quenches our thirst.
In fact when the Israelites were led out of Egypt by Moses the first thing they did was complain. First about their hunger, and then about their thirst. Yet when they cried out God heard. Having mercy on them He led them to water from a rock.
3 But the people were thirsty for water there, and they grumbled against Moses. They said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?” Exodus 17:3 NIV

Are you thirsty for the Rock’s water?
May this song be a prayer God answers as he did mine. May refreshing rain keep falling until your thirst is quenched and the Son shine fills your eyes.
May your testimony be, “Because of Jesus I thirst no more.”
Beloved, I hear the sound of an abundance of rain. <3Melinda
